The explicit goal of the convening is to breakdown silos, facilitate cooperation and coordination for greater scale of replicable efforts, and lay the foundation to obtain clear organizational commitments towards significant improvements in access to financial services in Uganda.
Day 1: 17 January 2017 Co-hosted by AMFIU
Day 1 of the event will be focused on the state of financial inclusion in Uganda with presentations and working sessions on the topics of infrastructure, increasing women as staff and consumers, digital solutions, and product development for rural outreach and agriculture.
Day 2: 18 January 2017 Co-hosted by the Smart Campaign
Day 2 of the event will include workshops on client protection that will focus on advancing financial consumer protection practice at their institutions, as well as hear an analysis on consumer financial protection laws in Uganda.
