A visa and other requirements may be necessary for entry into South Africa. As the requirements differ from country to country and are subject to change without notice, we recommend contacting the South African Embassy in your country for specific and updated information.
Below is the list of items necessary at your port of entry.
1. A passport or travel document valid 30 days after the end of your intended visit. 2. Your passport must have at least one blank page 3. Visa (if applicable)
A yellow fever vaccination certificate may be required at the border post.
Proof of financial means sufficient to cover the costs of your stay in South Africa may be requested at the port of entry.
PROOF OF DEPARTURE:
A return or onward ticket.
Below is the list of items necessary at to apply for a tourist visa.
1. A passport or travel document valid 30 days after the end of your intended visit. 2. Your passport must have at least one blank page. 3. A completed BI-84 (application for visa). 4. Fee payment (check with your embassy or consulate). 5. Statement and/or documentation confirming the purpose and duration of the visit. 6. Two color passport photos. 7. A return or onward ticket. 8. A yellow fever vaccination certificate.
